This workshop is being led by King Street Arts. At King Street Arts (Studios) we believe that being moved by art and creating art in all its forms has the power to bind us all together; to see, to share and to feel what it is to be alive. With a spotlight on the visual arts, in all its manifestations, our focus is to bring art and people together to celebrate the health, power and energy being creative can bring into our lives.

The project that is King Street Arts (Studios) seeks to support artists and the public by creating exhibitions and workshops which bring artists, art and the public together to sometimes stretch boundaries but certainly look for new horizons.

By attending the session, you can meet new people, learn new skills around either painting or creative writing (depending upon which workshop you attend), have the chance to explore different mediums to tackle some of the big issues facing us today such as climate change and health inequalities.

We hope to have an exhibit at Lancaster University showcasing the work from the workshops. We will only exhibit those pieces where people are happy for their work to be shown.
